By: MobileUnit Absolutely great day of paintball. We were down at one of our new sponsor's field at Palmetto Hills Paintball in Rock Hill, SC this morning. A fantastic experience. I just want to take a minute to thank everyone who came out to play. Everyone we played with was great and made the day a lot of fun. For those that have never been, Palmetto Hills is really a fun place to play. They have five fields, including woodsball, speedball, and paintball lasertag. There really is something for everyone. We started off playing on a field in the middle with had a landbridge on one side that ran between a creek and a lake. The main part of the field was quite open with some bunkers a long the way. This field was really a ton of fun to play on. It offers many strategic opportunities and really rewards a good shot. I was really surprised at how many people were there. When we showed up around 9am we were greeted with the sight of people already there and getting ready. There was a huge line to get waivers turned in and tanks filled, but the friendly staff was top notch and the line dwindled quickly. Kyle was a great help with the air, and Fran was extremely knowledgeable about everything paintball. I get the feeling she could talk paintball for hours, she just loves it. Each field is assigned one ref, with two refs in reserve that move to any fields where there are a lot of players. As with many paintball fields, the honor system is in force a lot of the time. Almost everyone we played with were really top notch in this regard. Overall Palmetto Hills Paintball was a great experience. Located just off I-77 in Rock Hill, it is extremely easy to get to. It was a really fun day of paintball and I look forward to going back soon.
